*Grand Opening on our Fifth Anniversary Celebration

Five years have flown by in the blink of an eye, and it’s time to celebrate a milestone we almost missed – the Grand Opening of Maker Nexus. Yes, you heard that right. We’re throwing the grandest grand opening celebration on our fifth anniversary of opening the doors to our nonprofit maker space in Sunnyvale!

Why? Because why not?

It’s a celebration of how far we’ve journeyed, the remarkable maker space we’ve created, and the boundless imagination and creativity inside our walls that has inspired innovation and hands-on creation. Most importantly, it is a celebration of our community. We would not be here without our community and volunteers' generous donations and continuous support! The GOFA celebration is also a heartfelt tribute to all of you!

Bring your co-workers, friends, and family and join us on our fifth anniversary as we cheekily cut the ribbon to mark the grand opening we never had (but always intended to!) We promise an evening filled with inspiration, creativity, and fun for everyone. After all, It’s time we let the community know we are here and ready to welcome more makers and innovators into our space

What’s on the Agenda?

• Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: The kick-off of the festivities by Mayor Larry Klein, our Maker Neuxs founders, and our team. It’s official, and it’s happening!
• Free Food Trucks & Drinks: Feast on a variety of delicious treats and toast to five years of creativity and community.
• Tours & Demonstrations: Take a guided tour of our expansive maker space, witness live demonstrations, and be amazed by what you can do here.
• Make & Take Projects: Roll up your sleeves for some fun DIY. Leave with a project of your own and a story to tell.
• Innovative Displays: Marvel at the fabulous projects our community members have brought to life, showcasing the potential within our walls.
• Learning Opportunities: Discover our adult and kids programs and how you can join this vibrant community. Membership opportunities await! We also have unique Team-building opportunities and private parties that guests will not stop talking about!
• Scholarship Program Spotlight: Be inspired to be a part of our impactful initiative to provide scholarships for underfunded youth, offering them hands-on learning opportunities in skills like welding and woodworking. Learn how we're opening doors beyond traditional education, empowering the next generation of makers and skilled tradespeople.
